Sway (milk lava)

A clean and simple grip-friendly milk jug for your everyday dairy. Made out of speckled lava dot stoneware. Unglazed outer and transparent glaze on the inside. Gustaf Sweden logo stamp at the bottom. Dishwasher safe. Handmade in Stockholm, Sweden.

Technique: The jug is thrown thin in stoneware and delicately deformed in the wet state giving its shape. Thereafter, each jug has been individually glazed on the inside. The process itself makes every jug similar but slightly different depending on the state of the clay. The method is used as an artistic expression. Primitive and extraordinary at the same time. Fired to 1280°C.
